LONDON TONIC

My Tonic water has the base note of bitter quinine and a very definite top note of real lemon oil and bitter orange but leaves a space in the middle for a fine spirit to occupy — think of my  N°1 London Tonic as a grand frame in which to exhibit a masterpiece.

TASTING NOTES

The shock of quinine is balanced with Sicilian lemon oil and the essence of bitter orange peel. Less than one calorie per serve.

DRY GINGER

The wonderful smell of my father’s Whisky and Dry has stayed with me over the years. This memory of the East End when men wore suits to the pub and could hold their liquor was key when it came to creating my own recipe. With the real heat of ginger and top note of lime, N°3 is a  Dry Ginger just as it should be.

TASTING NOTES

A proper Ginger Ale that reflects the taste of 1950's London. Fantastic on it's own and the perfect mixer for a robust Whisky or Bourbon. reject all other insipid copies. This is the real thing.

CHOCOLATE

You will either love or loath this tonic because there is simply no middle ground. This extraordinary recipe has been specifically designed for dark spirits and is unlike anything else. Once you’ve tried mixing N°4 with Rum, Brandy or especially Amaretto, you will get it.

TASTING NOTES

An exotic blend of mint and dark chocolate essence balanced against the bitterness of quinine. The sharpness of citrus creates a tonic water that demands attention. Mix with a variety of dark spirits to fully explore the possibilities.

LEMONGRASS

Embracing the brightness of lemongrass with a hint of hot Ginger, this tonic is particularly suited to Vodka and Vermouth. Adding a leaf or two of mint creates a whole new experience. A perfect mixer or a really refreshing long drink on it’s own.

TASTING NOTES

Why a lemongrass tonic? Because it epitomises all that Peter Spanton Drinks is about. It breaks the rules. Lemongrass adds the spicy top note that regular lemon can’t. With a little added ginger heat you have a perfect summer mixer or refreshing long drink.

LONDON SODA

John Matthews (1808–1870) was an English-born American inventor and soda water manufacturer. He is known as “The Soda Fountain King”. My London Soda water retains the simplicity and purity that Mathews insisted on. Clean and refreshing. Nothing more nothing less.

TASTING NOTES

Bottled with purity in mind. We just add mineral salts and carbonate resulting in a soda water that is totally pure, but definitely not simple.
